Charge the mound:
—————–
Hold A when your batter is getting beaned. If done correctly,
the hitter will charge the mound.
Banjo bat:
———-
Hold B when a play is over. The next batter will look like he is
playing banjo with his bat when he approaches the batters box.
Note: Enable the approaching plate option to see this.
Change game settings:
———————
Note: This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup
copy of the file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the
“tune.txt” file in the game’s folder.
Custom seasons in homerun derbies and batting practice:
——————————————————-
Create backup copies of all the files in the “/Stats/Rom” folder.
Now copy the files from your season’s folder that is located in the
“/Stats/Saves” folder over the ones in the “Rom/Season2000” folder.
You must do these things after getting into the game, or it will
will crash when you get into it. If you used the player editor to
make your player’s HR # be in the hundreds or even thousands, get
ready to see some long homeruns.
Hints:
——
Apparently, people who have Windows set to “Large Fonts” need to
change this setting for the game to work.
Keep your eye on the ball when batting; when pitching, vary your
pitches to keep the batter off balance.
Not happy? The 3DO Company is offering a full refund if you contact
them within ten days of purchase.
Look in your directory and open up the Tune.txt file. Save it first
and then feel free to tweak anything in there such as Errors, for
example to minimize the gameplay problems. Just bear in mind that
everything you change will affect the entire game and perhaps even
throw things off balance. An easier remedy is to check out some fan
sites and appropriate someone else’s Tune file for yourself.
