Unlimited money:
—————-
Acquire the Melee Throw Skill. Collect or purchase the most powerful weapons that
you can find. Travel to a location that is safe from enemies. Use the Melee Throw
Skill to throw your weapon at a wall. Immediately after the throw, open the menu,
and the same weapon will also appear there. Drop the one from your inventory. You
will now have two of the same weapons that can be collected, one that was thrown
and one that was dropped. Pick up the weapon again and throw it. Repeat the process
as many times as desired to duplicate the weapon. Then, sell the extras for money.
EXPcalibur sword:
—————–
Although EXPcalibur sword may randomly appear as loot, you can always find one
in the southeast corner of the map. Go to the boat house at the large lake in
that area. Note: The blocked bridge should be on your left. Continue along the
rocky shore to your right until reaching the very edge. Look out towards the
middle of the lake to see a very small island. Begin swimming towards that
island. After a few minutes you should eventually reach the island and find a
body holding a sword. The sword’s loot icon will read “This EXPcalibur belongs
to me”. Search it to collect the weapon.
Note: This will take some time. Once the sword is obtained, the corpse will
catch on fire. The sword cannot be repaired and will eventually break after
a few hits. However it is very power and can kill most zombies with a single
hit. Because its stats improve with your level, collecting it later in the
game is recommended.
Duplicate Weapons:
——————
1.Unlock Melee Throw skill – Power Level 4 and Stun prerequisites – in the
Power Skill menu.
2.Equip a valuable melee weapon. Whichever weapon you choose can be duplicated.
3.Throw your chosen weapon. While mid-air, open your inventory and drop the
thrown weapon.
4.Just after your weapon is thrown, it will remain in the Equipped weapon
inventory menu.
5.Try throwing it against a wall. Now you’ll have a duplicate of the thrown
weapon — one thrown, one dropped.
6.Keep throwing, dropping, and picking up one extra to infinitely duplicate
whatever weapon you want.
7.Sell the extra duplicate weapons for infinite cash or keep the extras for
plenty of high quality weapons.
Secret loot cave:
—————–
There is a secret underwater cave at the far northeast corner of the Slums.
Start at the safe house found along the eastern border, closest to the north
edge of the shore. Follow the river north until you see a small boat that is
flipped over to your left. Go left and proceed until you reach a small barricade
blocking off the area. Jump over the barricade, and swim through the submerged
tunnel until you reach the cave. When you search the cave, a message will appear
saying “Your destiny is to build your legend (and get loot).” You will then be
attacked by spawning zombies for approximately four minutes. Once you defeat
the zombies, you can search the bodies to collect the loot. After collecting
the loot, a message will appear saying “Enough! Patch 1.0.2 activated. Better
do some quests.” These messages and cave are a reference to the original loot
cave in Destiny, which eventually got patched. Look along the wall on the
right side of the cave to find another path leading to more water. Jump in
and swim along the left wall to reach a second open-air cavern that contains
a treasure chest. Then, turn left and climb up the rock wall at the dead end
to find a second duffel bag.

it to gain Metal Parts. Metal Parts can be used to repair other items. Although
this is not as good as selling a weapon, it can be used to obtained Metal Parts
immediately when needed.
Crafting ingredient locations:
——————————
Use Night Sense to detect crafting ingredients in containers and other caches.
Industrial areas may contain Metal Parts, Blades, and other items, while weapons
are usually found locked inside vehicles and buildings. Note: Some crafting

Underwater treasure cave:
————————-
There is a secret underwater cave at the far northeast corner of the Slums. Start
at the safe house found along the eastern border, closest to the north edge of
the shore. Leave the shanty town and cross the water, moving north along the rocky
wall until it goes to the left. Continue along the narrow trench until you find a
pair of wooden boards. Climb over the boards and enter the water. You will find a
narrow underwater passage that leads to a secret cave. Look along the wall on the
right side to find another path leading to more water. Jump in and swim along the
left wall to reach a second open-air cavern which contains a treasure chest. Then,
turn left and climb up the rock wall at the dead end to find a second duffel bag.
Sick Bomb blueprint:
——————–
Go up to the Towers rooftop at the back. Interact with the checkers board to play.
Leave the area by using the elevator then immediately return. Interact with the
board again. Repeat the process a few times to receive the Sick Bomb blueprint.
Playing guitar:
—————
To play the guitar in your bedroom, acquire the “Guitar Lessons” book during the
“Siblings” mission in the school.
Posters:
——–
In Old Town, you will can find posters hidden around the area. Each poster starts a
challenge that must be completed within a time limit. The reward for the poster
challenges is 10,000 Survivor XP. They are located at the following locations. After
completing all the poster challenges, Bozak will appear on your map. Get there to
collect the Exploding Throwing Stars blueprint and kill the madman before escaping.
Poster #1: West of the town’s center.
Poster #2: Northeast edge of the town’s center.
Poster #3: North of the town’s center.
Poster #4: Northeast edge of the town’s center.
Poster #5: Farthest east side of the map.
Poster #6: Southeastern edge of the map.
Poster #7: South side of the map.
Poster #8: Northwest edge of the map.
Poster #9: Near the town center.
Weapon Duplication:
——————-
This glitch / exploit lets you duplicate any melee weapon, anywhere and anytime. All
you need is the Melee Throw skill. It works like this:
1.Buy the Melee Throw Skill at Power Level 4.
2.Equip a melee weapon (this doesn’t work with firearms).
3.Throw your weapon – but just as the weapon leaves your hand, open the inventory.
You will see that the weapon is still there – drop it from the inventory to
duplicate the weapon.
You can also use this exploit to earn extra money from the various shops – just
duplicate a valuable weapon and sell off all of the duplicates!
Be aware: the weapon will duplicate whatever stats the thrown item has at the moment
you throw it – meaning if you try to duplicate a broken weapon, you’ll just have two
broken weapons. Always duplicate items before using them in combat to ensure they’re
at their peak value.
Fast travel:
————
After completing the story, you can use fast travel to all the main areas in the game
(Slums, Old Town, and Antenna). This is very useful when searching for collectibles
and completing all side quests. The game does not actually tell you that you can go
back to the other maps or that there is a fast travel option. To fast travel between
the Slums and Old Town, go to your bedroom in the Tower. There is a poster on the wall
that lets you immediately travel to the other map. To travel to Antenna, use the door
in the north of the Slums or the sewer entrance in the north of Old Town (there are
only some flags and zombie statues there). You can also go back to the sewers if
desired; the access points are marked on the map and are the same that you took
during the story missions.
Korek Machete blueprint:
————————
Travel to the northern end of the Slums, and enter the middle safe zone. Travel east
to a building shaped like a backwards “C”. Find the blue toolbox (hidden behind wooden
crates and blue barrels) on the rooftop of the building, then kick it approximately
75 times until it opens to reveal the blueprint for the Korek Machete.
It is recommended to get the Korek Machete as soon as possible to make the rest of
the game easier. The Korek Machete does 500 damage, can take 35 hits, and has 218
handling. You can also craft the weapon as often as desired since it only costs 10
alcohol and 20 metal parts (which are the most common materials and can also be
bought from merchants). The machete has four upgrade slots, which you can use to
increase the damage to over 600. Note: The Korek Machete weapon is named after
Korek, the nickname of Techland’s optimization lead developer.
Left Ball Of Glova blueprint:
—————————–
To get the Left Ball Of Glova blueprint, first find two specific stones in the Old
Town area. One of them is on a ledge above ground level, behind the tilted tower to
the northwest. The other stone is on the edge of the beach, at the southwest side of
the museum. After collecting both stones, place them inside the eye sockets of the
skull inside Ishaq’s apartment during the “Shadow Of The King” side quest.
Note: Dead Island featured a “Left Hand Of Glova”. The “Left Ball Of Glova” blueprint
is a reference to the lead game play developer.
Sick Bomb blueprint:
——————–
Travel to the Tower’s rooftop, then go to the back of the rooftop. Interact with the
checkers board to make a move. Leave the area by using the elevator, then immediately
return. Interact with the board again to make another move. Repeat the process a few
times until you win the game of checkers to get the Sick Bomb blueprint.
Note: “Sick” is the nickname of one of the game’s lead level designers.
9mm pistol:
———–
There are two ways to get a 9mm pistol. The easiest is to pick it up from the cottage
in the bottom right corner of the Slums. The pistol always spawns at this location,
and you can get it right after the game starts or at any other time desired. The
second way is to lock pick police vans. Look for them on highways, and bring some
lockpicks. You cannot get a pistol from human enemies, as they only have rifles and
melee weapons. The pistol is a crucial part for completing the Gunslinger side quest
from the upper tower in the Slums. The Gunslinger side quest gives you access to a
pawn shop that contains two text collectibles.
Guitar Lessons:
—————
As you become familiar with your new room in The Tower, you might notice a guitar in
the corner of the room. You can interact with the instrument to play a note, but it’s
obvious that Kyle Crane never learned how to play one. Luckily, there’s time to address
that oversight! Play through the main missions until you need to infiltrate a school
with Jade. Make sure to search every classroom thoroughly, and you’ll find another
guitar, along with a lesson book! Return to the tower and interact with the guitar
again. Now you’ll be able to play short tune.
Left 4 Bread:
————-
Techland has included an homage to another great zombie game: Left 4 Dead. Head
slightly north of the Tower to a safe house area guarded by large chain-link fences.
Once inside, look South across the street and you’ll find a bakery with a very unique
sign: Left4Bread.
Hidden QR Code:
—————
At the beginning of the game, in the room you wake up in above one of the beds, there
is a Jade “The Scorpion” Aldemir poster. On the bottom right corner of the poster is
a QR Code. If you get your character close enough to the poster (crouching down helps)
you can actually scan the code with your mobile device and it will take you directly
to a web site.
Ocarina of Time Reference:
————————–
You might not be able to spot the Hero of Hyrule in Dying Light, but you can find his
legendary sword. During the story mission that takes you from the Slums to Old Town,
you’ll arrive at a staging areas where survivors make the trek one by one. If you
happen to have done Dawud’s side quest to get him a gun, you’ll find him and his son
waiting to cross to Old Town. His son, as it happens, is carrying a toy version of
the Master Sword! Sadly, he doesn’t seem willing to part with it.
The EXPcalibur:
—————
You can find the fabled “Sword in the Stone” in Dying Light, except this time around
it’s the “Sword in the Zombie.” Look for the sword on a tiny rock in the far southeast
area of Harran’s Slums, south of the fishing area. Swim out all the way to the rock
to find a golden sword impaled upon a zombie. The sword won’t come willingly, as only
the chosen my pull it from its fleshy sheath. You’ll need to hold down the grab button
for several minutes as the orange bar slowly fills all the way around button prompt.
You won’t have any enemies to worry about fighting off – just make sure your finger
doesn’t slip! When you finally pull the sword out, you’ll find that it does an extreme
amount of damage – but at the cost of only 7 durability! Luckily, there is a way to
make more of it. Shortly after taking the sword, the corpse the sword was embedded in
will start to burn up. After it burns, you’ll find the blueprint for the blade in its
place.
Easy Power skills:
——————
Proceed through the main missions until you escape “The Pit” to unlock a small
floating safe house. You can use this area to easily level up your Power skills.
Before starting, make sure you have a good weapon. If it is not night, sleep to
change it to night, as you will gain extra XP for killing enemies at night. Leave
the floating safe house, and kill the first zombie while using camouflage. Killing
zombies when camouflaged gives bonus XP (Level 9 Survival skill is when camouflage
becomes available). Then, kill the two giant zombies and all of the surrounding ones
to gain a lot of Power XP. Make sure you are hitting the zombies in the head to gain
bonus XP. After killing all of the zombies, go back to the bed in the safe house,
and sleep until it is night. Repeat this process until your Power skill level is
maxed. Note: Having another player sit at the bed will make this process faster.
Pyza Suit blueprint:
——————–
Climb to the rooftop of the last building in the southwestern corner of Old Town.
Jump on the chimney on the very top of the roof to find a green pipe. Interact
with the pipe to be taken to World 1-1, which is a reference to the Mario series.
Proceed through the special area until you reach the first gap that you must jump
over the red water. Then, go backwards so you are standing on the sixth block from
the gap. Jump a few times to reveal a hidden block. Climb on top of the hidden block
to obtain the Pyza Suit blueprint, which allows you to momentarily glide through the
air.
Calling for a taxi:
——————-
You can actually call 1-661-320-4146, the number featured on various taxis, and it
will ring through to the cab company.
Zelda series reference:
———————–
A child can be found holding a model of the Master Sword at the sewers. He can
later be found at the kindergarten at the Tower after his chain of side quests
have been completed.
Easy guns and ammunition:
————————-
Sometimes the soldiers that appear in safe houses will be armed with guns. If they
soldiers die, their guns and ammo will drop and can be picked up. Bring a propane
tank into a safe zone then throw it at an armed guard until he dies. Then, take his
weapon and ammunition. Repeat the process as desired when another a guard respawns.
Duplicating items:
——————
Invite a player into your game. Drop any items that you want to duplicate. Have the
invited player pick up all items you dropped. Then, have the invited player back out
of the game with the quit option in the pause menu. This will save the invited player’s
inventory. Invite the player back into your game, and have them drop the items you
previously dropped for them. Next, have the invited player force close the game to avoid
saving his or her inventory. Invite a player back into your game, and repeat the process
a few more times. When the host’s inventory is large enough, give the invited player your
larger inventory, and have him or her leave with the quit option in the pause menu to
save the invited player’s now larger inventory. Then, invite a player back into your game,
and repeat the process again to multiply the drop items. Sell unwanted items to get an
unlimited amount of money. To have unlimited health, keep duplicating the med kit.
Easy Agility XP:
—————-
Level up the “FreeRunning Adept” and “FreeRunning Expert” skill to gain 40 XP per climb.
Go to the Tower, and sleep until it is night (XP doubles during the night). Leave the
Tower, go down the stairs, and look to your left to see two barrels in front of a small
building. Climb the barrels and then the building. When you are at the top of the
building, fall backwards, and repeat climbing the barrels and building again to get
120 Agility XP per second.
Right Hand Of Glova blueprint:
——————————
To get the Right Hand Of Glova blueprint, first find two specific stones in the Old
Town area. One of them is on a ledge above ground level, behind the tilted tower to
the northwest. The other stone is on the edge of the beach, at the southwest side of
the museum. After collecting both stones, place them inside the eye sockets of the skull
inside Ishaq’s apartment during the “Shadow Of The King” side quest. Note: Dead Island
featured a “Left Hand Of Glova”. The “Right Hand Of Glova” blueprint is a reference to
the lead game play developer.
Plants vs. Zombies mini-game:
—————————–
In the Antenna area, climb the large antenna until you reach the zip lines. Use the
zip line that takes you towards the mountains (northeast), then search for a Toxic
Lichen plant on one of the rocks, on the south side of the hole. It will teleport
you to a Plants vs. Zombies mini-game where zombies are fighting plants.
Weapon Duplication:
——————-
This glitch / exploit lets you duplicate any melee weapon and all you need is the Melee
Throw skill. Follow these steps for it:
1.Buy the Melee Throw Skill at Power Level 4.
2.Equip a melee weapon (this doesn’t work with firearms).
3.Throw your weapon – but just as the weapon leaves your hand, open the inventory.
You will see that the weapon is still there – drop it from the inventory to duplicate
the weapon.
Be aware: the weapon will duplicate whatever stats the thrown item has at the moment
you throw it – meaning if you try to duplicate a broken weapon, you’ll just have two
broken weapons. With this you can stack up your melee weapon inventory or you can also
use this exploit to earn extra money from the various shops – just duplicate a valuable
weapon and sell off all of the duplicates!
Bites Motel:
————
As you work through the “Be the Zombie” tutorial in the slums, note that you can
wander around the area to spot a little structure called the “Bites Motel,” an obvious
reference to the “Bates Motel” television show.
Assassin’s Creed reference:
—————————
Travel to the Old Town area in the northwest corner of the map. Go to the castle-like
building found along the cliffs facing the ocean. Climb to the tallest and rounded
portion of the building to find a small flag, similar to those that are collected in
Assassin’s Creed. Grab the flag to get a small amount of experience points.
Easy “Italian Plumber” achievement or trophy:
———————————————
A wrench, the Vault skill, and the Drop Attack skill are required. Find two zombies
then equip your wrench. Line up the zombies, then run and vault over the first zombie.
Drop attack the second zombie with your wrench.
Easy “Enlightened!” achievement or trophy:
——————————————
* Start a multiplayer game with some other players who have lured zombies in. Activate
and reset the light trap without moving.
* In single player mode, find a light trap close to a safe zone to allow you to run back
and heal between activations. You must reset it before activating it again.
Easy “Harran Athletics” achievement or trophy:
———————————————-
This can be done in single player mode if you have the Cuisine & Cargo DLC. Quarantine
Zones are counted as coop competitions, even when completed in single player mode. With
the DLC there are ten Quarantine Zones in total. Complete all of them to earn “Harran
Athletics”.
Easy Survivor Points:
———————
Unlock the Bolter feeding grounds, then go to the nearest safehouse. Wait until night,
then go out, kill the Bolter very quickly, and run back to the safehouse for a fast
3,000 Survivor Points. Alternately, run around and get a few of those mean red bitches
to chase you. Then, run to the safehouse, straddle the fence, and crouch so they are
spitting at you but cannot hit you. Remain there until morning to get about 30,000
Survivor Points.
The ultimate cache:
——————-
There is a hidden area that contains a number of health packs, gauze/bandages, weapons,
weapon boosters, and various other items. Do not attempt to go to there without a strong
weapon. While in The Slums, move towards the northeast part of the map for the bridge.
If unlocked, it is easier to start from the safe house under the bridge in that area.
From there, hop in the water and you will eventually reach the first pylon area under
the bridge. Hop back in the water towards the second one in front of you a disance.
From there, hop on the concrete platform and go up the ladder to the left. From here,
you are now inside the pylon supporting the bridge. Use the yellow pipes to climb up to
a series of walkways. Note: The grappling hook will be useful. Eventually, you hit a
platform that has a red door on one end. Open it and look down. You are now directly
above a row of tents on the bridge. To get down, aim for the blue garbage bags and hop
down. All the tents, trucks, chests, etc., all have something inside. Make sure to kill
every zombie encountered, as they also carry valuables. Noe: If you cannot reach the red
door inside the pylon structure, you can reach that location from the bridge itself by
using the cables on one end to crawl up and down to the other side. This requires a very
steady hand, and if you fall, you may land on the rocks and have to start over.
Defeating Runners:
——————
Runners are people that just became infected. They still have the ability to run, jump,
etc. There is an easy way to get them, regardless of where you are. Lead them to a bigger
vehicle, such as a van of some sort. It will take awhile for Runners to get on top of it.
Use that opportunity to take them out.
Defeating Volatiles:
——————–
The monsters that come out at night are Volatiles. They are very fast and deadly. However,
their biggest fear is electricity. If you have a weapon that has the “electrocutioner” or
some other form of electricity on a sword of some type, us it. A few good swings will
bring them down. Also, these monsters often carry a lot of money; search them after you
take them out.
Completion bonus:
—————–
After completing the game, the repeatable side missions will be available again. This
time, the G.R.E wants to help. They will randomly place blue chests in the side missions
that contain helpful items.
Fast travel:
————
After completing the game, you can use fast travel to all the main areas in the game
Defeating Runners:
——————
Runners are people that just became infected. They still have the ability to run,
jump, etc. To easily kill them, regardless of where you are, lead them to a larger
vehicle, such as a van. It takes awhile for Runners to get on top of it. Use that
opportunity to kill them.
Defeating Volatiles:
——————–
The monsters that come out at night are Volatiles. They are very fast and deadly.
However, their biggest weakness is electricity. If you have a weapon that has the
“electrocutioner” or some other form of electricity on a sword, use it on them.
It should only take a few hits to kill them. Note: Make sure to search the Volatiles
after killing them since they often carry a lot of money.
Easy “A Game of Catch” achievement or trophy:
———————————————
Arrows will count as a throwing weapon.
How to Quickly Level Up Survivor and Legend Level (Legitimatley):
—————————————————————–
Written by Stuff ‘N’ Thangs
This is a brief guide on how to quickly level up your survivor and legend level
if you are struggling on increasing them. Everything within this guide contains
no glitches or modding of any sort to the games base files or the save. This guide
is aimed at all survivors in Dying Light, no matter your skill at the game and is
designed to make your experience more enjoyable if you are having a really hard
time getting your levels up.
-=What’s This All About?=-
The main purpose of this guide is to provide a way of increasing your survivor
and legend levels without cheating in any way, shape or form.
For those who do not know, the Legend skill tree is unlocked once one skill tree
has reached it’s max level. There are 250 levels for Legend and 25 for Survivor.
Your Survivor points are converted to Legend points once you complete your survivor
skill tree.
-=What Are We Going to Do?=-
The basic gist of the technique is collecting D.R.O.Ps in certain quarantine zones.
A personal favourite of mine (And the one I believe to be the most efficient) is
Stuffed Turtle, a quarantine zone next to an antenna tower and gas station.
You will encounter it during the quest “Pact with Rais”. However, if you do not
know the location, here is an image below pinpointing it’s exact location.
Before we even think about farming the D.R.O.Ps, we need to know some things
about stuffed turtle before we enter:
* The floor is electrified and there are loose wires hanging from the ceiling.
* Make sure you use platforms when moving about.
* There are a large amount of enemies in a locked room. If you cannot fight them
because you are too weak, do not engage them and simply draw them out.
* The floor is flooded with water so do not throw firecrackers on there.
* Instead, throw them on wooden pallets or shelves.
* There is usually a suprise bomber waiting around the corner beyond the locked door.
* Be mindful of that.
* Your game difficulty effects how well you get rewarded. Normal is suggested if
you are new to the game and want to increase your survivor level only.
* Hard is for those are pretty decent at the game and is suitable for both Survivor
and Legend. Nightmare is only for those who are very skilled at Dying Light and
want to increase their Legend quicker.
Once you know this, you should be good to go.
-=Making the Choice=-
Once you enter you have two ways your looting session can go:
* The quick way but you get less in one go
* The longer way but you get more in one go
I will be explaining each one and how to do it most efficiently.
-=Option #1=-
As mentioned before, this way is much quicker to do and you can probably get more l
ooting sessions fit into a 10 minute frame when compared to option 2.
In Stuffed Turtle, there are 5 total D.R.O.Ps. Three of them are in the main room
before the locked door. You can quickly loot these three and dash out. However, there
are dangers and I plotted a route which gives you a less likely chance of taking any
damage when turning off the power. Once done, you can safely browse through the store
getting you D.R.O.Ps.
-=Option #2=-
Instead of getting only three D.R.O.Ps, we will be going after all of them. This
requires a bit more skill than the previous one and I only suggest doing this one if
you are well equiped and are fairly good at the game. This method can be more
efficient than the first, but this depends on your skill as a survivor. If you can
unlock the doors and get the two remaining D.R.O.Ps quickly, then this method will
prove to be better in the long run. Doing this option also gives you extra survivor
points at the end.
-=Conclusion=-
After you have done the farming, go to your nearest quartermaster and give them the
