Put “-enablemoddingtools” (without quotes) in the launch options of the game in
Steam (right click on game in library, properties, general tab). Now you can
get access to various debug features.
Once the modding tools are enabled, you can use the debug features in-game:
Shift+F1 opens a debug menu
Shift+F2 gives you a lot of all resources
Shift+F3 reveals the map
Pressing G activates the “god cursor” that you can then use to click various
elements (resources, ships, gauges etc…) to modify (often increase) their
values. Holding Shift, Control or Alt may results in different effects
(such as reducing or maxing out values)

Guide for Confusing Achievements:
Most achievements are clear and easy to get. However, some achievements just
don’t work well and are causing problems when we try to get 100% achievements
of this game. I will explain them in this guide.
As the Unfallen, extend Vines to 5 systems of an empire with whom you have
signed a Peace agreement
As I still haven’t figured out the mechanics of this one, and the description
of this achievement is totally misleading, somehow I have got this achievement.
Here are my tips.
Do not force peace, that might not count. Try only “Peace” term in diplomacy.
Have as many AI opponents as you wish, and peace everyone if possible. Do not
join any alliance, and build vine ships to expand to AI’s territories.
When having vines ready, cold war to each AI and then peace again.

Colonize one of each type of planet in one game – by C0ldSn4p
The true description should be “Outpost one of each type of planet in one game.”
There are 26 types of planets in this game. Open a game with large map and
outpost each of them.
When you, unfortunately, can’t find all types, destroy your outpost and make
an outpost again on the type you want. But in my run, a large map is totally enough.
-=Planet Types List=-
(you may want to mark after each type when you make outposts to be efficient)
Play for 10,000 turns, across any number of playthroughs
Tips: you may want a software called “auto clicker”. Each time you click on
“end turn”, the number +1. Or else you would play hundreds of games to get this.
Actually, when I get every else achievement, my count is around 2500/10000.

Use Privateers to secretly attack a fleet or a system belonging to a member
of your Alliance
Tips: Hire a large fleet of mercs, and you have to win either a battle or a
siege to get this.

Win a game in Endless difficulty against AI
Tips: Win a science with Sophons or a wonder with any race would be quick.
Tips to Deal with Multiplayer Instability:
Written by Demicore
So we recently started a multiplayer group to play this wonderful game with mates.
We encountered many issues, that discouraged several players and almost made
everyone give up. However, we ended up finding a workable system to keep playing,
so I’m here to share it, in case that might help anyone.
So if you look around the interwebs, you’ll find these instructions for MP stability:
+ Always clear notifications on the bottom right, even the greyed out ones
(very important, do it)
– Use a turn timer for the game to forcefully unstuck some situations at the end
of the timer (hasn’t worked for us)
– When players leave for a rehost, close the game entirely (very counter-productive
for the method I will explain below, I advise against it)
– If the game tells you it is out of sync, keep going for a few turns and the
problem will solve itself after a while (I must admit we have only tried to keep
going for two turns without the game fixing itself, perhaps it would have worked
if we had been more patient, but in any case desyncs weren’t our main problem)
So the problem that plagued our particular group most was the game getting “stuck”,
most notably in ground battles but not only. It would sometimes occur once everyone
clicked “end turn” even if the turn had gone smoothly previously, in which case the
end-turn button at the bottom right of the screen would either say “pending” or
“ending turn” but never move on. In that stuck state, the host could not save the
The “solution” is the following: (obviously not a perfect solution, but a decent
workaround that allowed us to keep playing at a decent pace, without having to
restart turns which can be really grating in late-game)
1.All the non-host players leave the game, Without Closing The Application, just
leave to the main menu. This will usually allow ships that were stuck to move,
but will not prompt the turn to end. It will, however, allow the host to save
the game, so.
2.The host saves the game, leaves, and rehosts the saved game.
3.Everyone rejoins, the host starts, and bam, you’re immediately back in the
It is very important for no one to close the application. That way, all the assets
will remain loaded in (not sure if that’s how you’re supposed to say it, I’m no
expert 😀 ), and the loading will be instantaneous. One of the factors that
discouraged people in our group were the frequent reloadings, caused by the fact
that we were listening to the common advice of closing the app entirely when
rehosting. If some of the players have slower computers, this can really bog
things down. However, as long as no one closes the app entirely, the issue is
This solution also works if the host saves the game and realizes the saving process
is not working, and is stuck. Have the non-host players leave, and the saving
process will then sort itself out.
